The Museum

The Museum is meant to be an old tythe barn and is built of cardboard, balsa and a good helping of imagination. It has two levels and the lower level is lit by 1:24 scale dolls house globe lights. They do not show up well in the photo but they really light the inside well. (Thanks to Dianne of Miniature World from the IoW for supplying them). Museum (roofless)
The Museum Shop and visitors

There is a shop at the end and visitors are obliged (good marketing) to leave the museum via the small door into the shop where we hope they will purchase souvenirs. The lady walking out behind her long-suffering husband does have a carrier bag although you cannot see it here.
This is picture and the one below were taken before the Aston Martin joined the exhibits

These figures are Preiser 1:32 scale except for the boy which is actually 1:43

Thing change and the carrier bag now sports Leakey Vale, new visitors have appeared (man in grey suit is now just inside the museum).

We are also putting some stock into the shop. Sacks of stone ground flour have arrived from the mill. Perhaps our lady bought some.

On the ground level are some of the old tractors. Many of these are taken out for rally days, also local enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their old machines along to make it a really good show. Upstairs in the old loft are various pieces of horse- or tractor-drawn machinery.

View of interior from the main door - the wiring loom is not visible under normal conditions as it is all under the stairs!

Two different hay lifters, dump rake, spreader and muck spreader, Potato harvester and a drill plus sundry bits and piece (looking for more). A hoist is planned at the end by the main doors - or at least the chains and hook.

The four blade plough is on the ground floor as it is often used in ploughing demonstrations alongside the horse-drawn single blade version (can just be seen in the picture above left )

The roof is cut away as the display cases have sloping tops. However this means the collection of equipment on the upper floor is easily seen.
